Happy Halloween doll or uh witch, batgirl, kitty, prisoner… you know, whatever floats your boat! After a weekend of splattering various deep colored powders and pigments on your face, our not-in-college-anymore bodies needs a little R&R, possibly some Advil and a good AF facial scrub. I’ve had my hot pink Clarisonic since my NY days when I upped my skincare anti as a new year’s resolution and it has easily become an essential part of my skincare regime but it was time for an upgrade. Enter Clarisonic Mia 2.
At first sight it felt exactly like the original – same weight, same shape, same head brush thing with the same gentle vibrations. Even the “two-speed” option felt literally the same when I first used it except now there are little beeps which is a nifty way to tell you when it’s time to move to a new part of your face. That cool little feature may or may not have, but definitely did, freak me out. Completely unexpected and thought my device was malfunctioning or going to explode (#dramatic) but I dig it now that I know what it’s doing. Other than that, everything felt and operated the same way. Until I felt my face and holy effing cow!!
After one use my skin felt sooo much cleaner – much more than it ever did using the OG hot pink one. It also felt smoother and tighter and less dull. In one use, y’all. Not to mention, I used it with the Deep Pore cleanser that came with the Mia 2 and I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting something with a weird smell but it was almost yummy and had the perfect foam to soap ratio without being too aggressive on my sensitive face. To be fair, Clarisonic is known to have that “initial breakout” after your first use – which, yes, totally happened to me too when I first started using it years ago. However, since I’ve upgraded I’m in the clear. Hah, clear. Get it?
Having good, healthy skin is important to me and the Clarisonic Mia 2 has found it’s spot in my skincare routine.
